The Gathering

Come, Grow In Hope

Opportunities to Grow

Gathering Worship

Our weekly gathering is Sundays at 12, noon, in a space graciously offered to the church by the Auburn Presbyterian Church. This space, located in the basement of the Auburn Presbyterian Church,  at 111 W. 12th Street, Auburn, Indiana, in the heart of this beautiful city, and it is across from the historic Eckhart Public Library.   However, we are also charged to make disciples outside our walls, so, we will be meeting on the 3rd Sunday of every month as well for Worship at the Y at the YMCA of DeKalb County, on North Street, in Auburn.  We will be sharing a time of refreshments and fellowship at 5:30 pm in the YMCA Chapel, before Worship @ the Y starts at 6 pm.

You can find our service here, on our YouTube channel, every Sunday evening. If you can't catch our live stream, you can always view the past videos or series here.

This gathering offers communion, to all disciples of Christ who come to the table.  We enjoy a meal together and discuss how God is moving in and through our lives and through the Scripture and topic we are studying.  We believe that this practice of fellowship and breaking bread together is an extension of the early church, found in the book of Acts, and this practice allows the hope of Jesus to become a tangible part of our lives.  We also share in the words of Scripture and prayer as well as worship through song.  A weekly message and discussion, on various topics and their relationship to Scripture, is also a part of this worship experience.

This gathering is open to people of all backgrounds. It will be sensory and child/family-friendly. We do not have flashing lights or loud music. This is a space for all to belong and spend time with God.  If you don't feel as though you can join us in person, please join us on our Facebook page live on Sunday at noon.  You can comment and interact with us during the gathering time by commenting during the live feed.  No pressure!

We believe in the power of prayer.  As such, we are a praying community and believe that a praying community is a healthy community.  Prayer is a large part of our DNA.  As such, team members are available for confidential prayer.

In addition, we believe in praying the prayer that Jesus taught us:

Our Father, in Heaven

Your name is Holy.

May your Kingdom come,

and your will be done,

Here on earth,

as it is in Heaven.

Give us our daily bread

and forgive us our wrongs,

as we will forgive those,

who have wronged us.

Help us to avoid temptation

And deliver us from the evil one.

For Yours is the Kingdom,

the power and the Glory,

Forever and Ever,

Hope for Mental Health

"50% of adults will develop a mental illness in their lifetime. This staggering reality can feel daunting, but there is HOPE for mental health."  This group is meant for those who have, have had, or love someone diagnosed with a mental illness.  It is our prayer that this program can shine a light into the lives of its attendees and bring hope to a sometimes hopeless situation.

"No one gets better alone! No family should walk through a mental

health crisis alone. We all need a support system of family, friends,

mental health professionals, support groups, and a faith community

in challenging times." - Hope for Mental Health Resource Guide, 2015

Hope for Mental Health support gathering meets

on Thursdays at 6 pm, in our space at

 111 W. 12th Street Auburn, IN 46706.

Journey to Freedom

Maybe life has been rough lately. Maybe life didn't turn out the way you planned it. Join us for this free program! The next session is starting soon at the YMCA.

Why would I need something like this you ask? We all, at some point, have been unsatisfied with our life. "Contemplation is how we get an idea of the life we've always wanted. This is a difficult task to take on alone. We need a guide. We need a way to pinpoint the broken areas in our lives, the areas in need of change...Journey to Freedom will guide you toward a new life and provide some answers to why life may not have turned out the way you planned. Suggestions will be made, but self-examination is how you get the most out of your time in this group...This study is a blueprint that will assist you in change."

YOU can change the things you see fit. It is an honor to be here to love and support you along the way.
