There's much to see here. So, take your time, look around, and learn all there is to know about us. We hope you enjoy our site and take a moment to drop us a line.
Our weekly gathering is Sundays at 5 pm, in a space graciously offered to the church by the Auburn Presbyterian Church. This space, located in the basement of the Auburn Presbyterian Church, at 111 W. 12th Street, Auburn, Indiana, in the heart of this beautiful city, and it is across from the historic Eckhart Public Library.
We care for the whole person and the whole family. Toys are available for the children and children are welcome and encouraged to stay with us during worship. We offer Sunday School for the children during discussion (sermon) time so that we all may learn on our own level. We come alongside everyone to nurture your walk and help care for you and your children as you all grow in your faith and relationship with Jesus.
A meal is served any time we come together whether. We believe in the biblical act of breaking bread together, sharing in fellowship, and filling the physical need of a hot meal. Our worship style is modeled after the early Christian church in the book of Acts. For many, The Gathering is a place of love and belonging and keeps God at the center of everything.
The Gathering’s members have various backgrounds that allow us to relate to many people and their life circumstances. We can relate, understand, and sympathize with people because we have been through very similar journeys. We foster the transformation of lives through the restoration of the hope that Jesus Christ offers everyone. Some of the tangible ways this is accomplished is through telling our God stories, a thriving youth group of 6th-12th graders called Axios, our mental health support group, Hope for Mental Health, a weekly Bible study.
We believe in the power of prayer. As such, we are a praying community and believe that a praying community is a healthy community. Prayer is a large part of our DNA. As such, team members are available for confidential prayer. If you have a prayer request, please reach out to us here.
In addition, we believe in praying the prayer that Jesus taught us:
Our Father, in Heaven
Your name is Holy.
May your Kingdom come,
and your will be done,
Here on earth, as it is in Heaven.
Give us our daily bread and
forgive us our wrongs,
as we will forgive those,
who have wronged us.
Help us to avoid temptation
And deliver us from the evil one.
For Yours is the Kingdom,
the power and the Glory,
Forever and Ever,
Amen

This group is meant for those who have, have had, or love someone diagnosed with a mental illness. It is our prayer that this program can shine a light into the lives of its attendees and bring hope to a sometimes hopeless situation.
